Don’t miss this year’s miSci break week classes!
The Museum offers onsite Break Week Classes for children in grades K–5. miSci science communicators will cover a variety of engaging STEAM-related topics. Class activities include guided exhibit tours, outdoor games, Planetarium shows, and science demonstrations. Classes are presented separately for students in grades K–2 (minimum age 5 years), and for students in grades 3–5. Students may register for a full week of classes, single full day classes, or single morning classes.
Full Week of Classes (Five Days): Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., fee $290
Single Full Day Classes: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. fee $59
Single Morning Classes: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., fee $40

National Engineering Week
Monday, February 17 – Friday, February 21
Get ready for a week full of cool design, clever engineering, and STEAM exploration! Five different days, each with an field of engineering as their main theme: explore electronics, mechanics, and even exhibit design! Each day features hands-on activities and a guest speaker.
Monday, February 17 – What is Engineering?
Find out what engineering is all about from the experiences of a real engineer, then get clever and practice your designs with out of this world building challenges!
Tuesday, February 18 – Engineering Can Be Shocking!
Get hands-on with circuits and learn about electronics from today’s special guest, then prepare to be shocked with a demonstration of miSci’s Van De Graff Generator and more!
Wednesday, February 19 – Engineering: You’re in Control
Can you control a video game with a banana? Today we will! Students will practice some edible engineering and learn about high power science with today’s guest speaker!
Thursday, February 20 – Engineering a Museum
What does it take to make learning hands-on? A miSci expert will share their engineering expertise and how we use it at our very own museum! Students will take a tour through the miSci archives and join an engineering challenge with toy cars.
Friday, February 21 – Engineering in Action
On our final day, students will learn about computer science and engineering from our guest speaker. The class will explore afterwards through a hands-on activity and with the movie Robots!
Earth Week at miSci
Monday, April 14 – Friday, April 18
Join us for a week of Earth and Environmental Science as we investigate our amazing planet, and the cool technology we use to help preserve it!
Break Week Classes are available on a first come, first-served basis and registration is required. Museum Members receive a 10% discount.
